Description

This is an old softcover book, 8 1/2″ x 5 5/8″, 141 pages, entitled
“The Lost Colony Of The Confederacy
.”
The book was written by Eugene C. Harter, it is copyright 1985 (this edition is the 4th printing, 1993), and published by
“The University Press Of Mississippi. Jackson, Ms.”.
The book is a well-written and little-known account of Southerners who left the United States when the Civil War ended, and moved to Brazil, where they founded the town of Americana.  In addition to the text, the book contains 10 old photographs of American Southerners living in Brazil (please see my scan #2 for the book’s table of contents, and scan #3, which is the book’s back cover. It contains a good synopsis of the book)
. The book is 29 years old, and it is in excellent condition, with just one small, light crease, 1/2″ long, on the tip of the bottom right corner of the front cover, and some very, very minor signs of age/wear on the covers. The book has no other creases except the one I mentioned, no rips or tears, no soiling, no writing on any of the pages, no loose or missing pages, etc.  Buyer pays $3.50 shipping.
